Description:
If there is one field of life that teaches us the most valuable lessons about perseverance, patience in fact what constitutes a perfect character, it is sports.
On 20 & 21 January 2023 Inspiration Public School, Kathgodam organized the Annual Sports Meet for the year 2022-23. The Annual Sports Meet embodies the students' zeal, talents and spirit of sportsmanship, encouraging them to be persistent and to refine their talents, achieving the greatest of heights.
The event commenced with the entry of Mascot ‘Panda’ followed by the welcome of the Chairperson Dr Geetika Balutia who was the Guest of Honor for the event. March Past was led by the school Sports Vice Captain Karan Kamboj who also administered the oath after which the meet was declared ‘Open’ by the chairperson followed by the flying balloons.
The opening ceremony also included a mesmerizing and colourful drill presented by students of all houses where they used various props. Post the ceremonies, track and field events started.
The sports department administered various events according to the age of the children. Many fun filled games like Hurdle Race, Soccer Cone Race, 50 mt and 100 mt races, Balance Race, Tunnel Crossing, Clean your Way, Spoon Race, Ball Throw, Ping Pong Race, Ring Race, Three Legged Race, Javelin Throw, Slow Cycle Race, Shot Put, Long Jump and High Jump was organized.
The Tug O’ War is an event that demands brute strength, sheer endurance and excellent team coordination. It was definitely the most anticipated event of the day. The event was held between the Blue House and the Green House for Boys and the Yellow House and Red House for Girls. This enraptured the audience as the level of excitement drastically went up pull after pull. Ultimately, the Blue House(Boys) and Yellow House(Girls) bagged the prestigious shield.
Members of the Sports Departments Mr Sumeet Das, Mr Narendra Bhandari, Mr Vijay Pandey, Mr Ankit Rai, Ms Pallavi Rawat, Ms Ayushi Kanwal were appreciated for their efforts and successful commencement of the Annual Meet.
The event was anchored by Ms Pooja Joshi & Ms Nikita Bisht, Certificates writing task was accomplished by Ms Richa Manchanda, Ms Sangeeta Kholia, Ms Urmi Raina and Ms Madhumita Das. Recording of the event was done by Ms Rinki Bisht, Ms Bhawna Kafaltia, Ms Guneet Kaur. Ms Indra Joshi took care of the First Aid.
Winners were conferred with medals and certificates jointly by the Chairperson Ms Geetika Balutia, Principal Mr Anurag Mathur and Vice Principal Ms Mamta Taneja.
