“Within you is the light of a thousand suns”….
To uphold the true meaning of this famous saying and give the students wings to their imaginations, Inspiration Public School organized an online ‘Diwali Craft Competition’ on the occasion of Deepawali – the season of joy and cheer and the festival that symbolizes spiritual victory of light over darkness.
A festive atmosphere was created virtually by categorizing the competition for the students of pre-primary, primary, middle and senior wing. The pre-primary section (Nursery – II) was given to decorate Candles that is the symbol of holy illumination of the spirit of truth. The primary section (III – V) was given ‘Toran/Bandhanwar Making’ that is symbolic of wealth, good luck and good health. It also welcomes guests and spreads brotherhood. The topic for the middle wing (VI –VIII) was to make Lanterns – a ‘guiding light’ that lights up the path to success and pushes aside the darkness and ignorance. The senior wing (IX and XI) was given to draw Rangoli that promises happiness, positivity, liveliness and good luck.
The activity was one of the best ways to remind children of their rich culture, that they must espouse the tradition of lighting Diya’s to dispel darkness of ignorance and illuminate souls with knowledge and wisdom. The winners from Nursery are First- Aadvik Gururani, Second- Jainika Mehta, Anupriya, Kaushiki Mehta, Third- Lakshita Bisht, Divyanshi Pandey, Dhairya Balutiya, Shivanshi.
