Description:
Post office is a place where receiving and dispatching of letters, parcels, post cards, money orders etc. takes place. It is an indispensable part of the communication system and society. Students of class VA and VB had the privilege to visit the post office on 2 September 2019. A group of about 90 students led by academic coordinator Ms. Mamta Taneja along with teachers Ms. Parul Agarwal, Ms. Deepika Bisht, Ms. Pallavi Rawat and Ms. Nikita Khatri went for this excursion. Ms. Nikita Khatri had guided the students to write an inland letter to their parents which were then duly stamped and posted in the letter box. The students visited various departments of the post office and understood their working. They saw the passport department and the sorting center where all kinds of letters and parcels are sorted according to the pincode and address. Post master Mr. Indra Kumar Das gave valuable information about it to the students. It was an extremely knowledgeable and enjoyable experience for all.
