Description:
Republic Day marks the adoption of the constitution of India and the transition of the country to a republic on January 26, 1950. Republic Day is a national holiday in India, when the country marks and celebrates the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect on 26, January 1950, replacing the Government of India Act (1935) as the governing document of India and thus, turning the nation into a newly formed republic. Since Pandemic is ongoing, and due to obvious reasons we can't celebrate it at school, so it was hence celebrated online for classes Nursery to 5 with joy and pride. It is indeed a proud moment for us which the future generations should remember and should learn from this day. Without history we can't have a present or a future, so it is very important for our kids to know the importance of the day.
Various activities were organized for our kindergarten and primary sections. For kindergarten Card making, Aircraft Show, Flag making activities were organized. Special Assembly was organized for classes 1 to 5. Indeed not only the presence was enthusiastic but their participation was mesmerizing too. Students learnt about the importance of the Republic day through their class teacher and sung National anthem in chorus. The spirit of the kids had no match and they showed attention and interest. Tough times don't last, but tough people do. With this positive note the ceremony ended with a belief, Covid times too shall pass and we will again meet at school and celebrate this day like we used to.
