Description:
National Unity Day is observed to honour Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's tireless efforts in uniting the nation. It serves as a means to reassert the bond among the Indian populace and to uphold the ethos of '#Unity in diversity.'
The goal of this day (31st October) is to strengthen our nation’s unity and raise awareness about Vallabhbhai Patel’s contributions. It’s a chance to reaffirm our commitment to the country’s unity, integrity, and security.
On the occasion of National Unity Day, Central Communication bureau, Nainital (Ministry of Information & broadcasting) in collaboration with Inspiration Public School, made this day special by thanking Sardar Patel for all the work he did in integrating India and promised that we will continue to work hard to keep our country together and always celebrate this day with high spirits.
The Chief Guest Mr Sumit Hridayesh, MLA Haldwani, guest of honour Maj (Retd.) B. S. Rautelaji were welcomed by Chairperson Dr Geetika Balutia & Vice Principal Mrs Mamta Taneja.
The program started with lamp lighting, followed by welcome song & dance by talented students of IPS. A patriotic speech was presented by Mrs Nisha Kandpal PGT Hindi & Miss Yashaswi Bhandari of class X followed by Quiz competition, slogans and posters were displayed highlighting the contribution of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel in India’s freedom struggle.
Mrs Shraddha Gurrani Tiwari, of Central Communication bureau highlighted the department's role in celebrating the lives & works of great freedom fighters of India. The registered dance team of Kumaon Sanskritik evam kala Uthan samiti presented #Hudkiya bol, an awesome Kumaoni dance performance highlighting the rich cultural heritage of UTTARAKHAND.
It was indeed a very educative day.
Mr Sumit Hridayesh ji & Maj B. S. Rautela ji shared their words of wisdom with the students. The winners of dance, choir groups & poster making were awarded by Honourable guests.
Dr Geetika Balutia, Chairperson IPS, highlighted the contribution of Sardar Patel in uniting the princely states of India & expressed her vote of thanks.
The anchoring of the event was done by Mr Manmohan Joshi.
