Description:
Inspiration Senior Secondary School proudly organized the highly anticipated Inter-school Basketball Tournament, held under the esteemed banner of the Public School Association, from December 6th to December 8th, 2023. A total of 26 enthusiastic teams, comprising of 14 Boys’ and 12 Girls’, participated to showcase their athletic prowess and sportsmanship in this prestigious event.
The Inauguration Ceremony witnessed the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, Mr Raj Kumar Mehra, Joint Commissioner of Income Tax, along with the other distinguished guests of honor and the IPS Principal and Management.
The festivities commenced with the ceremonial balloon-releasing by the chief guest Mr. R. K. Mehra and Mr Kailash Bhagat, President PSA Haldwani, followed by the presentation of bouquets & souvenirs to the Chief Guest along with the welcome of other esteemed dignitaries by the Chairperson Dr Geetika Balutia, Director Dr Deepak Balutia, Principal Mr Anurag Mathur, Vice-principal Mrs Mamta Taneja, Mr Sanjay Balutia & Mrs Gayatri Balutia, setting the ground for an eventful day.
The welcome song & dance by the IPS students along with the electrifying presence of the Sports’ Mascot #Panda, set a perfect ground for an eventful day. It was followed by Oath Taking Ceremony for all the participating teams.
The pinnacle of the tournament featured intense final matches, with Inspiration facing off against St. Theresa in the Boys' category and Universal Convent competing against Inspiration in the Girls' category. The hard-fought battles culminated in victories for Team Inspiration in the category Girls and Team St. Theresa in the category Boys, who secured the coveted trophies for their respective teams.
The prestigious prize distribution ceremony was graced by Mr Mukesh Paul, our Chief Guest of the Day along with various distinguished members of the Public School Association. The School Director, Dr Deepak Balutia, Chairperson Dr. Geetika Balutia, and Principal Mr. Anurag Mathur collectively commended the outstanding efforts and sportsmanship displayed by all participating teams.
The tournament not only provided a platform for healthy competition but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and teamwork among the schools involved. With this event, Inspiration Senior Secondary School once again showed how it takes pride in promoting such events that contribute to the overall development of its students, emphasizing the importance of physical activity and a competitive spirit.
The Principal Mr Anurag Mathur expressed his Vote of Thanks to the esteemed guests, participating teams, and all other valued ones who collectively made this event a Mega Success.
