Celebrating the pinnacle of sportsmanship at PSA's interschool basketball inaugural ceremony, where the court witnessed not just skillful matches but also the camaraderie of diverse schools. 🏀🏆
#Public School Association (Haldwani) 3-days Interschool basketball Championship 2023 inaugural ceremony was organised on 06.12.2023, bringing together a vibrant display of athleticism, teamwork and creativity.
Mr Raj Kumar Mehra, Joint commissioner, Income tax, graced the occasion as the chief guest. The festivities commenced with a burst of color as balloons soared into the sky by Mr R. K Mehra & Mr Kailash Bhagat, President PSA Haldwani, setting the ground for an eventful day.
The proceedings began by presenting the bouquet & momento to our Chief guest & welcome of other esteemed dignitaries by our Chairperson Dr Geetika Balutia,Director Dr Deepak Balutia, Principal Mr Anurag Mathur, Vice Principal Mrs Mamta Verma Taneja, Mr Sanjay Balutia & Mrs Gayatri Balutia.
The function began amidst lots of excitement & jubilation. The sound of the welcome song & dance by our students resonated in the air as the function began. The atmosphere was electrified by the dance of #Panda, the sports mascot of our school. This was followed by oath taking ceremony by all the participants.
There are 14 boys team & 12 girls team participating in 3-days interschool basketball tournament.
In the inaugural matches #Inspiration Public Schools team defeated #Tagore Public School by (40-2)
In the girls matched #IPS girls team defeated #DPS girls team by 16-2, #SKM public schools boys team defeated #Don bosco by 44-4.
#Universal Convent girls team defeated Nirmala Convent by 21-8,
#Gurukul International's boys team defeated #Nirmala Convent by 36-19,
#SKMs girls team defeated #St. Theresa by 33-14
#DPS boys team defeated #Shemford school by 25-5,#Gurukul International's girls team defeated #Guru Teg bahadur team by 6-2, #Guruteg Bahadurs boys team defeated #Universal Convent by 30-11.
In his key note address, the Chief guest Mr R. K. Mehra highlighted the importance of hidden talent of every child to be harnessed by the school & the significance of sports in New Education policy. He emphasized three points - Scientific approach, humanity & sportsmanship in students holistic development.
Present on the occasion were City Coordinator CBSE Mrs Manju Joshi of Universal Convent , Mrs Anita Joshi, Principal of St Lawrence, Mr Vikram Karki, Principal of Queens Public School, Mr Anil Joshi & Mr Ramesh Sharma of Shivalik international, Mr Samit Tikkoo of Dikshant International, Mr Varun Pande of wonder brains, Mr M. C. Dalakoti ji, Patron PSA, Miss Kusum Bisht, Mrs Panchali Sen, Mr Saket Agarwal of BLM,Dr Ritika Bhatt Pant of Pantnagar University, advocate Satish Balutia, Mr Girish Melkani of Highlanders school, Mrs Radha Aithani, coaches of participating teams & all the reporters, photojournalist of print & electronic media.
Our Principal Mr Anurag Mathur expressed his vote of thanks to Chief guest & all the esteemed dignitaries.
