Description:
Baisakhi, also known as Vaisakh Sankranti, is celebrated to welcome the arrival of spring and the new harvest season of the year. It is celebrated every year as the Sikh New Year or Punjabi New Year. It is celebrated on 13th April this year and it commemorates the formation of Khalsa panth , under the leadership of Guru Gobind Singh Ji in the year 1699.
The kindergarten section organised Baisakhi Celebration . Children of class nursery, Lkg and ukg celebrate this festival with great enthusiasm .
Students shown their creativity through different activities like colouring the sheets , spin wheel making through origami sheet, finger printing in dhool . And each child bought sweets to celebrate this day with joy and happiness. All boys were dressed up in kurta pyjamas and girls in salvar suits. The children had a lot of fun and enjoyed dancing with their teachers and friends. The teachers told children about the importance of the festival.
