Janmashtmi is celebrated as the birthday of lord Krishna, one of the most powerful and famous reincarnations of Lord Vishnu. To seek the blessings of Lord krishna Janmashtmi was celebrated at school with mirth and joy. The fragrance of flowers, the soothing aroma of camphor and the jingle of bells filled the air. While this religion's importance is not lost, this day signifies a lot more to modern India. To celebrate the extraordinary bond between children and the almighty, the students dressed up as Lord Krishna and Radha, complete with flutes, peacock feathers and matkas. The premise was decorated beautifully and the spirit of festivity was enhanced with Jhankis depicting the history of Lord Krishna. The celebration that followed was truly entertaining and educating.
A lot of fun-filled activities like decorating matkas and flutes. The purpose of the celebration was to inculcate the importance of Indian mythology in the students. The life history of Lord Krishna was very beautifully depicted by colourful Jhankis.
