The inaugural session started with the welcoming of the guest and an introduction of the conclave by honorable chairperson Mrs. GeetikaBalutia. She said, “Inspiration Public School has always thrived to prepare its students for holistic development, give exposure to several career options, and prepare them to face challenges. Students and parents have a lot of apprehensions about what to do after class XII, and by this conclave, we have tried to reduce the gap between what to do and how to do.” The conclave was aimed to bring focus on areas apart from the traditional fields of medicine and engineering.
Col. Shishir Kumar, who is a TEDx Speaker, Director General of Imagine XP, an IIT Delhi Alumnus, and also an Army Veteran initiated the conclave with an encouraging session. He talked about imbibing Officer Like Qualities (OLQs) and encouraged students to work on all these skills from the very childhood. He explained ways in which students can join the armed forces. He illustrated different aspects of NDA, OTA, IMA, etc. The examinations to qualify, age criteria, etc. were also mentioned by the expert.
Concerning his innovative venture, ImaginXP, he advised the students about how they could do wonders in the field of designing. He talked about product designing, fashion designing, arts, etc., and also told about his early days in the designing field and the obstacles people usually face in the discussed area. He motivated the students to face the challenges with a smile no matter how herculean it is.
The session was flooded with fantastic poems and quotations on nation-building, hard work, and focus used by Prof. Col. Shishir Kumar. He also inspired the youngsters to be united when it comes to nation-building. At the end of the session, he praised the initiative of Inspiration Sr. Sec. School and Twin Win and said that this one attempt will make a big difference in the lives of children.
Next in the row, was Costume Designer from Scotland, Ms. Lauren Cameron who enlightened the students about career prospects in the field of theater, costume designing, and film production. She inspired students to be very passionate and dedicated at the same time. She insisted on being unique and form perceptions. Ms. Lauren described numerous ways of getting into her field from India and even from abroad. She highlighted innovation, adaptability, time management, and proactive participation as the skills required to have a successful career in design.
