Cultural Exchange Program between #French Students and Inspiration Public School,Kathgodam
Day - 1 activities
"Culture is the widening of the mind and of the spirit."
On October 17, 2025, a group of 30 students from France, accompanied by two teachers, Madame Catherine and Monsieur Romain, arrived in Inspiration Senior Secondary School Kathgodam for a cultural exchange program. The visit aimed to promote #cultural understanding and exchange between the students of Inspiration Senior Secondary School, Kathgodam, and their French counterparts.
The visiting students were warmly welcomed by the Chairperson of Inspiration School, Dr. Geetika Balutia, Director Dr. Deepak Balutia, Principal Mr. Anurag Mathur, and Vice Principal Mrs. Mamta Taneja, along with the school's students. The guests were greeted with (#Pithiya) tilak and bouquets, marking the beginning of a memorable cultural exchange.
The students of Inspiration School presented a cultural showcase, highlighting the rich heritage of Uttarakhand. The French students, in turn, shared their own cultural experiences and traditions. The event featured a range of performances, including songs, dances, & music, showcasing the diversity of both cultures.
The visiting students were taken on a tour of Haldwani's local markets, where they explored the region's #handicrafts and local #products. To foster #friendship and #teamwork, a series of #sports competitions, including basketball, volleyball, table tennis, and chess, were organized between the students of Inspiration School and their French counterparts.
#LeFrehnindi - A Bridge between Cultures
The cultural exchange program was organized under the aegis of 'LeFrehnindi', an organization that promotes cultural and educational ties between India and France. The representatives of LeFrehnindi, including Ms. Tanuja, Mr. Haroon Mehta, and Ms. Shilpa Jain, were also welcomed at the school.
In their vote of thanks, Chairperson Dr Geetika Balutia & Principal Mr. Anurag Mathur expressed their appreciation for the cultural exchange program, highlighting its significance in promoting #cross-cultural understanding and #exchange. The event was successfully coordinated by Mrs. Madhumita Das and ably conducted by Ashutosh Negi, Yashasvi Bhandari, Hasan Suhail, and Abhinav Joshi.
The French delegation relished the authentic Kumaoni cuisine, expertly prepared by a skilled catering team.
